Constantia Cottages - Top Holiday Homes and Apartments near Table Mountain

Constantia Cottages are in the heart of the Cape's upmarket, lovely and sought-after suburb of Constantia, amongst the leafy vines of the oldest Winelands in the Cape, near many of the celebrated Cape restaurants. It provides easy access to the major highways and only two minutes away from the chic Constantia Village Shopping Centre with its variety of fashionable shops and restaurants. The False Bay Beaches and Golf Courses are an easy 15 minutes’ drive away and the city of Cape Town no more than 20 minutes.

All the 2017/2018 newly constructed apartments and cottages have an open plan kitchen to the lounge, fully equipped with high-quality appliances, including a large fridge/freezer combo, Ceramic or Induction-Stove-Top, extractor, microwave oven, kitchen sink and all small but important kitchen equipment necessities. The bigger units are also fitted with an oven, washing-machine, tumble-dryer and dish-washer. All bathrooms have a cabinet with basin and a shower cubicle or walk-in shower, some are also fitted with a bathtub and heated shower rails.

Spacious 45sqm One-Room-Apartment on the ground floor, fitted with a comfortable double (sleeper) couch with coffee table and a 5-seater dining table. Open-plan to the kitchen. Beautiful private terrace with 4-seater table and stone bench with big comfortable cushions open to a big garden with solar-heated swimming pool.

Our 60sqm apartment is located on the first floor and has a separate double bedroom with en-suite bathroom. The lounge with TV room is open-plan to fully fitted kitchen has a large window and there is a large sliding door that leads to a beautifully furnished balcony with stunning views to the gardens and the back of Table Mountain.

SUITE SHIRAZ at "Constantia Cottages"
Our 90sqm apartment is also located on the first floor. It has two separate double bedrooms and two bathrooms, one en-suite and fitted with a lovely free-standing bathtub. A 3-metre-wide sliding door leads from the lounge with a fully fitted open-plan kitchen to a spacious balcony with an external radiant heater (UV).

COTTAGE CABERNET at "Constantia Cottages"
Our double-storey cottage has two double bedrooms upstairs both en-suite to the chic bathroom. The master bedroom is equipped with a double bed (King-Size), the second bedroom with a Queen-Size-Bed. Separate guest-toilet downstairs. There is a dining area with seating for four and a leather corner-lounger in front of the 50"-Smart-TV. This cottage has a 40sqm terrace partly covered by an awning and its own private garden open to the main garden and the solar-heated swimming pool.

COTTAGE CHARDONNAY at "Constantia Cottages"
This cosy one-room studio offers self-catering accommodation for two people sleeping in a queen-size bed and a comfortable sofa-bed. It boasts open plan design with bedroom, nice kitchenette, sink and lounge/dining area with TV and bathroom adjacent. Enclosed private patio with a small garden and dining area. Dog-friendly!

Outdoor Area (community facility): The well-appointed holiday homes of Constantia Cottages (Morningstar) are surrounded by an immaculate big private garden. Our guests have access to the beautiful 45sqm solar-heated swimming pool with sun loungers and big sun umbrella alongside. Braai/Barbeque facilities in the main garden are available for all apartments, the cottages are fitted with an exclusive Weber Braai or a solid outdoor kitchenet with open fireplace and grills. The entire property is beautifully illuminated by many lights during the night.

COTTAGE SAUVIGNON at "Constantiaberg Holiday Homes"
North facing holiday home with mountain view. This stylishly renovated family home offers a well-planned lifestyle with an open plan living area with a cast-iron fireplace. It leads to the garden with swimming pool and to a stunning covered terrace with 2 seating areas and an outside kitchen. The inside-kitchen is modern with all appliances. The bathrooms have been tastefully renovated in 2017, both now with walk-in shower, the main bathroom also with a free-standing bathtub.

COTTAGE CHENIN at "Constantiaberg Holiday Homes"
Our small Cottage sleeps two adults plus one additional adult or two children on a comfortable sofa-bed. Fully fitted kitchen and a dining table for four. A sliding door leads onto a private 40sqm patio/garden with 4-seater table and a Weber Braai (no access to a swimming pool!). This cosy holiday home has its own private entrance and is totally separated from the big cottage next door.

The magnificent villa set on a landscaped beautiful garden with entertainment area with a barbeque facility, big lawn, beautiful flowerbeds offers oodles of accommodation also for bigger families up to 6 people (3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms). You will be absolutely thrilled about the spacious beautifully designed living room with its luxury staircase which leads to the second floor. The beautiful fully fitted kitchen with a kitchen bar leads directly into the dining room.

Our guests can rest assured with courtyard or garage parking that has direct access to the Apartment entrance hall or the cottages.

Our big apartment and the cottages are fitted with washing machine and tumble dryer, available for guest with long-term-rentals (15 days/nights plus) For our guests there is a laundry service (washing, drying, ironing and folding) available for highly discounted guest rates!

Water:
Water is drawn from the communal water-supply (system), but we are not dependent on that. We use our own borehole water for the garden, swimming pool and other needs. Greywater is diverted into the garden and sprayed over flowerbeds. Hot water is heated by an efficient heat-pump and supplied to kitchens and bathrooms via energy-saving ring main. Internet and TV:
Free High-Speed Wi-Fi (20-100mbps Fibre-Optic) access to the Internet is available all around the property, in guest rooms as well as in garden and at the pool site. Smart TVs (40”-55”) in all lounges with Internet Access allow online-entertainment like live-streaming in different languages, SA Netflix and YouTube.

All our luxury apartments and holiday homes are fitted with modern air conditioning units which keeps the room temperature at a certain level, usually 21 degrees. If required by guests, we can adjust the temperature in a range of max. 2 degrees.

Alarm System and Security Facilities:
Both gardens and roadside are fully illuminated throughout the night (garden, terraces, patios, courtyards) A sophisticated Camera Surveillance System all around the property. Motion sensors (beams) inside and outside the houses – all connected to a security company (armed response).

Directions:
Coming from the Cape Town International Airport, take Highway N2 to Cape Town. At "Groote Schuur" (big hospital on the right) leave N2 to the left at the sign “M3 to Muizenberg”. Follow M3 and pass exits Rondebosch, Kirstenbosch, Claremont, Bishops Court and "Constantia Main Road" until turnoff no. 15, Kendal Road. Turn left on Kendal Road into the area of Morningstar/The Vines/Constantiaberg and turn left again (next) into Walloon Road. After ca. 300 meters stop at the big white gate (yellow walls) on the right side, no. 14, and ring the bell “Office”.

Getting around:
The best way to see the sights is to use a rental car. As an alternative UBER-Taxies are always available in the area. Standard taxies can be organized by us (arranged pick-up times). Major railway stations are in Plumstead and Wynberg. Local bus lines or black taxies are not recommendable for our guests.

Interactions with guests:
We can also help to plan your complete stay, e.g. with a quote for a rental car. The local car hire companies often have better rates than the well-known ones, but the quality of the cars and their service is the same. We can arrange day trips with or without a driver, tours to the beautiful Winelands with wine tasting, book shark diving trips and other activities for you, recommend and book the right restaurants according to your taste.
